What I've been up to...
I returned to work last week after a long, long holiday. So I am slowing getting back into the swing of things. This weekend I have been busy indoors crafting some wares for etsy and outdoors in my garden (pot plant garden - we rent so I don't have a real one). I have a few different succulents, flowers, parsley and chives.
Marc calls this one a weed! It may look weedy, but I like it.
I also popped down to the shops with a friend. I picked up this dress. I don't normally visit Shanton but I thought it was a cutie, teamed with a vintage belt.
And I unfortunately missed Kraftbomb! I was meaning to pop down for a visit but didn't make it. Niella and I decided to take a break this month, but should be back on board for February, if we get in! I hope they had a big turnout. It was a beautiful Sunday! Hope all you Aucklanders had a lovely long weekend.

bird botanical prints
Some inspiration to end a long, boring Monday. Check out these pretty prints by artist Geninne Zlatlkis, made exclusively for Three Potato Four
(which by the way has a lot of other drool worthy stuff!)

around the world with mouk
I love, love, love illustrated children's books! I picked up this one, Around the World with Mouk by Marc Boutavant, in a nice little Napier bookshop called Beattie & Forbes (est. 1969!)
Mouk, a little bear travels the world meeting new friends and discovering new cultures. I fell in love with the charming illustrations which I could study for hours.
Here are just a few of the places Mouk visits....

Owl Tea Cosies
I just had to post these, even though I saw them months ago. Aren't they cute? I stole them from Lainies blog.
Don't you just love owls? I am making a few hanging owls for my etsy shop which I hope to commence one day... in the near future... (I move slowly.. hehe).
If you are the maker of these cuties please let me know. I would like one!

love summer holidays
Happy 2009! I have had a wonderful holiday season thus far. We have just returned from a little trip away to Napier where it was smeltering hot! We have never properly been to Napier before so it was a real treat to stay and take in the sights. The city centre is super tidy and the Art Deco buildings are amazing! It's nice to get out of the city and see other parts of our beautiful country.
So, for the next week and a bit (yes, I am still on holiday! teeheehee) I am looking forward to getting back into the crafts and since we have been without the internet whilst away, I have lots of catching up to do on FB + Google Reader! Isn't it sad how we are so internet dependant these days! Well, some of us more than others ;-).
Heres hoping 2009 will be a brilliant year!
